For Information Only: 1110 Blain Street- Demolition
The Ordinance to Demolish for 1110 Blain Street was initially adopted by the City Council on March 21, 2016. After that time, it ws discovered that the ordinance contained an inaccuracy in the staff report which listed the value at $1,700 instead of the actual value of $7,100. On May 16, 2016, the case was brought back before Council for clarification. At that time, the property owner appeared before Council to request additional time and informed Council they had a potential buyer for the property who was interested in making the necessary repairs. At the June 6, 2016 City Council Meeting, the property owner appeared again before Council asking for additional time to secure the financing for the repairs, apply for the correct permits and to collect bids from licensed contractors to make the repairs.
