Title: Ordinance - Amending Article II Mayor and Council Terms of Office - City of High Point Charter Monday, January 19, 2021, at 5:30 pm is the date and time established to receive public comments regarding an Ordinance Amending Article II, Mayor and Council, Section 2.2 Council; number; terms of office, and Section 2.3 Mayor; term of office, duties of the City Charter of the City of High Point to correct the language regarding term limits from two years to four years, making it consistent with the language in Article III- Elections, Article 3.1 Method of Election of the City of High Point Charter. Note: The public hearing for this matter was held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. as duly advertised. Following the public hearing, but not earlier than the next regular meeting of the Council and not later than 60 days from the date of the hearing, Council may adopt an ordinance to implement these amendments.
